My name is Christian. I publish my music under the pseudonym CMWesland, which is a play on my first/last initials and my middle name. I created the CMW YouTube channel in 2020, and I've been writing music under that title ever since.
My early music was written using MuseScore. While I still use MS for sheet-music transcriptions (huge shout-out to Tantacrul for his work on MS4), I switched to FL Studio in 2021 for many of my other compositions. In more recent times, I've been actively switching between MuseScore 4 and FL Studio for CMWesland tunes, often using MS4 for its more realistic-sounding instruments.
I am also currently working for a game studio called Studio Six Sense as a composer/musician for their games.
My musical style varies depending on what mood I'm in. Sometimes I write music that's considerably more ambient and less melody-driven, while other times my music is much more melodic. Honestly I kinda just write whatever I feel like.
I don't hold myself to any sort of upload/writing schedule. When I've finished music that I feel like releasing to the public, I'll release it. Sometimes I release quite a few in a short time, other times months go by with nothing. That's just part of the process.
